WELDED PWC crankshafts! Why buy one? Are you CRAZY?

Very simple folks. Not 1 single manufacture of PWC crankshafts weld the pins on the new oem, and or even reman cranks they sell, period. Ask these people WHY the need to weld the pins? Its NOT a common thing. This is not what any of the major PWC makers do....EVER! If you are planning on buying a re- manufactured  PWC crankshaft, and or engine...consider this.  If the pins are welded, mass has been added to the spinning weight of the crank, thus taking it out of dynamic balance. In short, its going to fail early....or just out of that warranty they like to throw out  there like a carrot. Do your homework...find the good crank, not welded. Yes, it will cost you more, but in the end you will be riding while some other poor sod is trying to return his "short block" to one of those soon to be exposed no good rebuilders.....BEWARE!
