There were M.P. badges issued and used in Vietnam in the middle to late 60's. I was issued one in Korat Thailand (219th M.P. Battallion), and also in Vietnam (716th M.P. Battallion). They were not issued with a name and were hang on through the button on your left shirt pocket. They were silver plated brass with crossed pistols in the middle with the unit stamped on the bottom.
