The polyshrink starts out in a flat 8" x 10.5"sheet. You can draw on it with permanent markers or colored pencils or you can rubber stamp on it with permanent or archival types of paint and ink. Then, you can use punches or scissors to cut it into different shapes and sizes. The cutting can be done before or after you add your own artwork or rubber stamp designs. Now for the fun part. Place the pieces on a cookie sheet and place them in an oven or even a toaster oven and watch them bend and twist. When the shrinking is complete the pieces will lay flat. That is the indicator that they are finished. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. The pieces will have shrunk to approx. 45% of the original size and will be approx. 1/4" thick. You can also use a Craft Heat Tool to shrink the pieces one at a time.
The package comes with general instructions, baking tips and art supply suggestions as well.

     This is a fun product to experiment with different combinations of mica powders, chalks and permanent inks to add color to the surface.  You can also achieve different effects by sanding the surface.  Sanding creates a tooth to the surface that adds texture and allows you to use colored pencils more easily.  Each type of polyshrink is unique and very versatile for creating jewelry, embellishments, ornaments and more!  A fun project for Birthday Parties, Girl Scouts, Rubber Stamp Groups and more!
