Using Blackberry Storm Unlocked Phone in GSM Mode

Using a Verizon Blackberry Storm with a GSM Sim Card?

We have written this guide because a large number of our customers ask us how to get their phone working with AT&T, T-Mobile and other GSM phone providers. If you already have service with a GSM Service provider, you can change the settings on an unlocked Blackberry Storm to make it work with your GSM sim card. This applies to customers using AT&T, T-Mobile, or any other GSM Sim Card.

Don't worry - this is much easier than it looks. We just included every detail you will possibly need to get your phone working properly.

In order to use this phone with any GSM SIM card you must do the following:
This guide applies to AT&T, T-Mobile and other GSM phone providers.

Step 1 - Press The Blackberry Button
Step 2 - Select Settings -> Mobile Network
Step 3- Make Sure Data Services is Turned On & While Roaming is Turned On.
Step 4 - Set to GSM Mode (not automatic) Set the phone to Manual.
Step 5 - Make sure Mobile Network is changed to whatever SIM card you have inserted. For example, if you are using AT&T, you would set the phone to "AT&T" here.

Your phone should now work with your provider.

For Verizon customers - simply call Verizon directly and have the phone activated.
