Have you come accross an ad that says something like this..........
DVD/VCR combo for sale. Plugged in, it turn on. Functions seem to work. I have NOT tested further, cause I don't have a DVD to test it. So its sold as is. $23. (This is an example only, it dosen't have to be a DVD player etc, it can be with ANY item, particularly electronics or "working" items seller wants to sell)
Now right here, many of us are going to assume everything is fine if seller says all functions seem to work. BUT right here too, there is a sort of "red flag"
Can you guess what my experiance says where the "red flag" is?
The "red flag" is when seller says "I have NOT tested further (CAUSE I HAVE NO DVD)" This is because the sellers DVD player really doesn't work and THEY KNOW IT! They are hiding that truth with "I can't test it cause I dont have a DVD." Now get this HOW OFTEN do we come accross a house or someone who DOESNT HAVE A DVD? Or even a CD? These are EVERYWHERE! CDs can be used to test DVD player too!
I have learned that MANY times seller DO THIS so they can "sucker" the buyer into purchasing this item, and customer assuming DVD player is working. They do this also so they can get a little something for something they would OTHERWISE KNOW no one will want, if it doesn't work! Then they'll "COVER" themselves with an "EYE CATCHING" price AND a "No Return" policy.
This happened to me before. SO I DECIDED I WILL NOT BUY an item if seller DOES NOT SAY weather it works or not.
But also LOOK AT THE FEEDBACK SCORE if you come across an ad like this!!
