When searching eBay or other online/offline locations for quality Redline Hotwheels, I always try to purchase good quality, all original Redlines between 1968-1977. I always study the photos of each car and ask any questions that concern me about any particular Redline. I then make sure that I perform any research I can about a specific Redline, such as Price, Originality, Casting Quality or Imperfections. It's also Very, Very important to know if the Redline that I'm about to purchase has been altered in any way from its original state, as altered Redline Hotwheels have a drastically lowered-value than the originals. I find that having a good Redline Hotwheels Price Guide, is an invaluable source for determining a particular cars' identification, value and state of manufactured-originality. One such guide that you may want to consider is the hard-back version of "Hotwheels" The Ultimate Redline Guide, Second-Edition-Identification and values 1968-1977, by: Jack Clark and Robert P. Wicker.
By following these tips you can ensure that the Redline Hotwheels that you purchase will be worth what you are paying and you'll be confident that these Redlines will look great in your personal collection. Most of all you'll enjoy the Hobby of becoming a knowledgeable Redline Hotwheels Collector !!
