Most people want to purchase a new PC for speed and space, but is it cheaper to upgrade, than to buy a new PC?||
It really depends on the specs of your machine and the operating system your running.
Minimum:
RAM REQUIREMENTS
XP takes 512mb
VISTA 2gb
WINDOWS 7 512mb
UBUNTU 512mb
MAC OS 512mb ||
the size of your hard drive.
150gb HD if you don't download a lot of media (music, pics, and movies)
300gb HD if you do||
Some people may not know but this is how you can check
Click 'Start'
Hover the mouse over 'My Computer'
Right-Click 'My Computer'
Scroll down to 'Properties'
A window will open in detail identifying your operating system, bit version and ram
Now go back and click 'Start'
Left-Click on 'My Computer'
In the new window you will see 'C Drive' , 'D Drive' , etc.
The 'C Drive' is your 'hard drive', the larger of the 2 numbers is the size of your drive.
After checking those things, know that..... understand me when I say this “ THE ONLY THING THAT WILL MAKE YOUR COMPUTER RUN FASTER THAN RAM..RAM RAM RAM AND MORE RAM!! THAT IS THE ONLY THING.
There's no program that's going to make your computer run faster running on the same machine with the same specs.
32-Bit Operating Systems take up 3gb of RAM
64-Bit Operating Systems currently up to 8gb
The more RAM you have the faster your machine.
IF YOU'RE STILL INTERESTED IN PURCHASING A FAST PC BE SURE TO PURCHASE ONE RUNNING ON 'DDR3 RAM CHIPS' (SUPER FAST)
