We just wanted to offer our experience with the shipping of DVD's/CD's/Games. We highly recommend avoid shipping DVD's/CD's/Games in the well-known "DVD Mailers" or the "Bubble-Mailers", as in most instances, they may not survive the trip. We ship ALL of our CD's, DVD's, Games and Books in sturdy cardboard boxes, to ensure the safest, most secure delivery. The shipping cost is not any more when shipping a box vs bubble mailer, and actually many times the boxes cost less than standard bubble mailers/envelopes. Wrap the DVD/CD/Game case in one or two layers of bubblewrap inside of the box, to prevent any movement, and keep the bubblewrapped product atleast 1/2" from any box surface, so if the box is placed under a large, heavier box when in transit, the box has room to move without crushing the case. The main cases to be very careful packaing are plastic CD cases(ALL CD's for the most part), and the DVD/CD cases that are primarily made of cardboard, and the disc holder is glued to the back cover. The cardboard cases are nonetheless non-repairable if damaged in shipping, and the value of the product usually diminishes greatly if damaged.
Another recommendation we stand by 100% for Non-Factory Sealed/Used CD's, DVD's, and Games, is to place a small 2"x2" or 3"x3" piece of small bubble wrap between the Disc and the inside of the case. This keeps the discs from falling loose from the holder, and moving around inside the case while in transit. We take another step and gently tape our Mailing Slip/Note around the opening edge of the case, which keeps the case from popping open due to the added bubblewrap section inside.
There are millions upon millions of CD's, DVD's, and Games sold online everyday, and MANY arrive with damaged cases. If you want your product to arrive to your Customers, in the condition is was when safely packaged, follow these tips and you will not be disappointed (and neither will your valuable Customers).
Keep your Customers happy, and keep them coming back by offering the most secure shipping available.
Note: these recommendations also apply to Game Discs, such as Playstation , Playstation II 2 , PSP , Sega , XBOX , XBOX360 , Nintendo , Nintendo Wii , Gameboy , Game Boy Advance, and so on.
