The eBay Amazon Connection - MUST READ!

Here's an Idea...

So here is what is happening tens of thousands of times a day on eBay...and I mean literally tens of thousands...

Someone sells a product - any product really - food processor, mixer, resin storage shelves, furniture, etc - anything that is listed on Amazon.com for purchase. An eBayer lists the same item on eBay, marks it up by 20% (offers free shipping because you know Amazon offers free shipping too) - you but it now on eBay, and the seller simply purchases it on Amazon and dropships it to your home. INSTANT HOME BUSINESS!

I have to admit I am an eBayholic - I buy and sell A LOT of stuff on eBay. It is a great resource to find if something is 'out there' online, and what the market value is...but recently, within the last 2 weeks, I have [once again] purcashed something from eBay, and had the seller dropship it from Amazon. This has happened to me SEVERAL times over the last few years.

The moral of the story is simple, and I do not want to overcomplicate this User Guide...

If you are looking at something on eBay, and are getting ready to purchase it - LOOK FOR IT ON AMAZON.COM first - buy it for what that seller is buying it for, and save yourself a few bucks.

You'll be surprised just how many auctions for 'stuff' on eBay - new product mind you - is being sold to you, buy it now, auction, whatever - in which the seller is simply doing what I just outlined....

  • Find a desirable product on amazon.com that is listed for decent price...
  • Create a eBay auction for the same product, mark it up by 20+%
  • Wait...
  • Once some sucker like me buys it, log in to Amazon.com, pay for it, and put the buyer's address as the ship to...
  • There you have it.

Safe SMART buying everyone.
