For example, the second generation Formula 1 watch series Model WAC#### had slight variations over the years. I will try to explain some of the production differences of these models.
The first production models used model # WAC1110 (black dial), WAC1111 (white dial), WAC1112 (blue dial) and WAC1113 (red dial) on the caseback. The serial # is located just below the model #.
Tag Heuer made slight modifications to the product line and added the "-0" suffix. WAC1110-0, WAC1111-0, WAC1112-0 and WAC1113-0 to designate the changes.
So what changes were made to the product line? The overall look of the watch is the same, but the modifications include:
1. The original watch does not have "Tag Heuer" engraved in the left rubber bumper. "Tag Heuer" is engraved in the left bumper of the WAC#### -0 series.
2. The stainless steel bracelet is different. The original uses 18mm lug width. The "-0" models use 20mm lug width. The bracelet also has a different #. BA0850 vs BA0850-0 to designate the change.
3. The logo engraving on the back is different. The original watch used a very simple engraving, while the later version "-0" models have a more intricate engraving.
4. On the dial, the original version states "200 M" while the later version states "200 METERS"
WAC1113 WAC1111-0
BA0850 BA0850-0
WAC1113 WAC1111-0
WAC1113 "200 M" WAC1112-0 "200 METERS"
There might be other slight modifications that I have overlooked, but I believe I have covered the major differences between the WAC#### and the WAC#### -0.
These same changes may also be present in the chronograph versions of the same watch CAC#### and CAC#### -0 models.
Please feel free to ask me any questions. I am glad to help out any Tag Heuer shoppers.
