T-Mobile's Hiptop III / Sidekick 3 - Celebrity Sidekick
From Lindsey Lohan and Micha Barton to Snoop Dogg and Paris Hilton, if you're young, hip, and stylish you are incomplete without your T-mobile Sidekick. The sidekick is a PDA phone without any nasty stigma associated with most of the phones in the sub-genre and Danger's latest redesign of its hot selling product shows that design doesn't have at the cost of functionality.
Scheduled to be released to the general public on June 28th 2006, the T-mobile Sidekick III (known in Europe as Danger's HipTop 3) brings the sidekick to the forefront of modern mobile amenities. New features incluide redesigned trackball control, Bluetooth support and a miniSD card slot for expandable memory capacity. The new phone also boasts a 1.3 megapixel camera (up from .3 with the sidekick II) with support of resolutions up to 1280 x 1024 (translation - more pixels, better image).
So how much is all this new technology going to cost you? My sources at my local T-mobile forwarded me this pricing information.
• $299 for a 2-year contract
• $349 for a 1-year contract
• $399 for T-Mobile To Go (prepaid) or no contract
• Plus $29.99 for unlimited data/internet/e-mail access
Despite the steep prices i'm sure we all will see a healthy proliferation of Sidekick III's around West LA and other places.
