Sopranos FAKE Boxed Set Complete Series From USA BEWARE

 Sopranos fans don't get tricked into buying boot leg Complete Season Series Asian or Chinese boxed sets!! BEWARE of alot of the Buy It Nows for complete seasons or the "so called ULTIMATE COLLECTION" at cheaper prices!! I was fooled into falling for that even after doing what I thought was extensive research on sellers.

I purchased the complete set that claimed it was the exact ones sold in USA major stores on a Buy It Now from a "seller" that had 100% positive feedback and was in the "USA". SO I THOUGHT!

I bought & paid immediately, well after about 8 hours I got a message from Ebay stating that a legitimate sellers account was "taken over" by a fraudulent person selling bootlegs and not to pay! Needless to say I already did pay! 

Somehow these people "hack" into accounts that have great feedback, but are not in regular use. I tried to contact this "person" via email, well I get a message back from msnchina email stating "don't worry, item ship tomorrow" obviously this was from China!  
Still being a little naive to the situation, I wrote back, saying that I am trusting that this is the American version of the Sopranos as stated in the ad right....well no response of course.

I did get the Sopranos Boxed Set in the mail. IT WAS NOT THE USA VERSION. IT WAS A MANMADE BOOTLEG JOKE! The box was copied pictures glued onto a VELVET LINED cigar type box w/ DVDs in generic plastic sleeves, and CHINESE WRITING all over it.

I immediately filed a dispute with paypal! All the seller would comment on was that it was shipped....Well paypal saw that this was a totally fraudulent deal, and luckily I got my money back!

****I JUST LEARNED THAT HBO HAS LITERALLY JUST RELEASED A COMPLETE SERIES SET AS OF 11/11/08 CALLED THE COMPLETE SERIES.  NOT "THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION" BOXED SET!  THE LISTING ON EBAY THAT SAY ULTIMATE COLLECTION ARE NOT REAL!*** SO YOU CAN NOW ASK THE COPYWRITE LISTED DATE ON THE BOX AS SEEN BELOW. IF IT IS BEFORE 11-08 ONCE AGAIN NOT REAL!!!

ALSO I HAVE READ THAT A TON OF BOOTLEG COPIES ARE COMING FROM NEW YORK & JERSEY! CHECK YOUR SELLERS LOCATION!!!!

SO, THE BOTTOM LINE  do your research, ask a question before buying these Sopranos sets, and make sure you get answers before buying.

Don't get antsy thinking you might miss the "good deal" because if it is to good of a deal it probably isnt the USA version anyway! This asian or bootleg version is POOR PICTURE QUALITY, GRAINY, & THE PICTURE JUMPS AROUND & also some make you deal with awful subtitles!

And / If you do decide to buy, I would recommend waiting about 24 hours to pay, just incase it was a situation like the one I had. That way it gives Ebay time to bust the "hacker" and notify you not to pay and what happened before you risk losing over $100! Also be weary of listings with generic or copied pictures, you wanna see the real thing so you know what you are getting!

The outer cases should be shiny cardboard, not matte dull  pictures like a copied printer picture.

THIS BRAND NEW PIC ABOVE IS THE ONLY COMPLETE SERIES AVAILABLE. IT MUST HAVE A COPYRIGHT DAY OF 2008 ON IT ALSO!!! IF IT DOES NOT LOOK JUST LIKE THIS. YOU ARE BUYING A FAKE!!!

These are pics of the fake sets! It is a copied picture on a big box & the discs are in paper like sleeves with scanned pics on them. Also note the red velvet lining on the case! BOOTLEGS!!!
