Selling Business Equipment in Ann Arbor & SE Michigan

Over the last several years, we have worked with many businesses in the Ann Arbor / Washtenaw County / Southeast Michigan area to resell equipment they are no longer using, usually due to a move or upgrade. With most equipment becoming obsolete almost as soon as it's purchased, these items don't benefit from sitting around in storage once they are decommissioned. In fact, their value is at a maximum the minute they are unplugged!

Smart businesses are starting to include resale of older equipment in their budgeting processes as part of the plan to fund new equipment. In some cases, our clients have been able to rotate out old equipment on a cycle that allows them to purchase new equipment with warranties, keeping staff productive and minimizing costs for downtime, parts, and repair services.

Shipping is easier with smaller things, but large items can sell well, too! Buyers will often drive to pick up larger equipment items. We can also help arrange freight delivery service if needed.

As with anything else, equipment sells for more when it is in good working condition and complete. This means gathering up all the configuration information (before you unplug it / remove it from the IT center rack), software, cables, remote controls, boxes - whatever you have that makes the item a complete package. Especially if items have been in storage for a while, be sure to clean/dust them so they look well-cared for. Think about it as if you were the buyer - what would you want to know about your item if you were looking to buy what you're going to be selling?
