Here is our packing protocol. This is the industry standard and protocol which we have used with success for the last 15 years.
When packing glass audio vacuum tubes tubes please follow the guidelines below to assure safe arrival of the glass vacuum tubes:
1) Be sure that tubes are in original boxes and are immobilized within their boxes (sometimes adding a few Styrofoam peanuts inside the top/and or bottom of the original tube box does the trick to make sure they don’t move around)
2) Be sure to always DOUBLE BOX glass! Also, be sure that the tubes are packed so they are immobilized within the first packing box so they can’t move around in transit, and are in a VERTICAL position so they are standing straight up and down (NOT on their sides). Tubes can become damaged internally when shipped on their sides.
3) Be sure to use plenty of Styrofoam or bubble wrap in the second packing box (we always use 3" of Styrofoam peanuts all the way around which is best) so the inner box is completely protected.
