Anyone who has been collecting games for any length of time has ran into at least one cart with that pesky video store foil backed security sticker. You know, the one that when peeled off leaves the checkered squares or voids in the silver sticky mess. I have read some other guides out there on ways to remove these but none of them work as good as this.
First off, don't peel the foil backing off. If you peel it off first, it's too late. Get out your Goo Gone and have fun. What you need to do is this. Grab a hair dryer. Heat that foil backed sticker up for 10-15 seconds, you might even see the foil start to bubble up a little bit. Once you get it good and hot, just start peeling the sticker off.
Take it nice a slow to start and until you get the hang of it. That sticker will come right off and none of that sticky silver mess will be left behind. Trust me, it works great. I only wish I started doing that 10 years ago. I hate to think about all the hours, bottles of Goo Gone, and boxes of Q-Tips I needlessly wasted. Try it for yourself.
