With all of the choices out there it can be totally overwhelming to make a decision as to which model you should purchase. Here are some common questions that concessionstands.com customers ask:
I have seen another popcorn machine model from another company that is half the price of what you are selling, how is that possible?
Caveat emptor - Let the buyer beware because you will get exactly what you pay for. If something looks too good to be true - it probably is! Many of these lower cost models are made overseas and bid out to the lowest cost supplier. There will be a big difference in the quality and grades of metals used along with the integrity of the electrical systems. The cheap popcorn machine models will work fine for a short period of time, but do not expect a long-life out of them - just look at the warranties (if any) that you are getting. Compare to the models that we sell which come with 1-3 years (depending on models) and limited lifetime warranties available on Paragon poppers in 4 ounce configuration for home use. Buy once and buy smart!
What should I look for when buying a popcorn machine?
Most importantly consider your safety first! Look for models that have ETL or UL approvals which means that they have been tested by a certified organization that evaluates products, components, materials and systems for compliance to specific safety standards. Once you confirm that your equipment is safe to use, look for other features like a heated floor to keep popcorn warm and crispy and an easy to clean design. You want to spend time popping corn, not cleaning your popcorn machine!
Can I place my popcorn machine on a bar or counter?
Of course you can! You have the option of adding a cart, but if you would like just set it on your countertop. Make sure you have enough clearance though and measure twice first! Locate your popcorn machine near an electrical outlet too so you don't have to look at an ugly power chord.
How much popcorn will it pop?
Lets use a four ounce kettle size for an example - in each batch you will get four one ounce servings.....or four servings roughly equivalent to 2-1/2 cups each. All popcorn machines that we sell will pop a batch in about 3-4 minutes. This should be quick enough and plenty of popcorn for most home theaters. Need more popcorn, look at a six or eight ounce model for larger batch sizes in the same amount of time.
If you want the best tasting popcorn, buy a popcorn machine for your home theater that is commercial made with quality parts from a reputable manufacturer and an iron clad warranty to back it up!
