Norfin Trolls

This is guide for buying Norfin Trolls

The Norfin troll is a product of The Dam Troll company imported exclusively by
E.F.S marketing  associates inc. Farmingdale New York
in the late 70's a reintroduction of the dam troll.

Norfin was the idea of orphan so the idea  you can adopt a troll.
The Tag is blue & white Adopt a Norfin on it
The Norfin was made of a different vinyl . 
 The early Norfins had of all felt clothes.
Also early Norfins had much more detail and clear orange eyes
Later norfins had brown eyes.   None are a super rare or hard to find.
 All very common when deciding to buy a norfin .

Norfins had alot different trolls the common 604 model?  very, very common.
That was 9 inches and had one movable arm and movable head
boy and girl that limted clothing selection boys wore a two piece outfit pants and a shirt
girls had a simple felt dress till the late 80's the costumes were not all felt
there was chef, firefighter, matador, bussinesemen,50's poddle skirt, karate,
foreign nations, excerise girl, clown and many more.
$12 to $30 depending on rarity of costume and mintness

Animal banks which is my favorite  there was a bear, mouse, kangaroo, elephant,squirrel,
whale,duck, penquin, seal, turtle, viking, Pigs  large 13 inch pig , traditional  pig bank on all fours,
pig with arms open, pig with arms closed, baby pig with diaper all have orange eyes expect for
 whale and two pigs have there closed eyes
Later models have brown eyes.
 Only two out those is rare price about $20 to $30
this price does include 2000's reissues
most animals banks are marked by year made and dam not all though.
earlest one marked 1980.


Then was a 18 inch girl and boy fully jointed  came in felt clothing.
And later wedding outfits,clowns etc. price around $30 to $50 they are very common
Lots of mohair later ones with alot less.

Little Brother & Sister Trolls plastic orange eyes are reissues from 60's series fun fur hair
they come in one piece diecut outfit $15 to $24 due rarity of face that was only
issued twice. 

Baby, Toddler trolls came out in 1985 very soft vinyl.
Hair only came in brown pepper mix, black and white $10 to $16. more  in plastic case.
Later ones were made in china, 86 very hard vinyl loss of detail brown eyes
all colors of hair.

LingenBerry Gang troll 1984 on bottom of foot rare came in felt outfits  boys had two piece and girls had a skirt
both had a felt seed pouch with elastic band  head turned about 8 inches
all had mohair hair. not fun fur. $15 to $35 if in box more.

Elves Hans & Hanna were made in 1980  marked on foot, one piece body boy and girl molded socks
elve hat, one piece outfit with stringe belt mohair hair. orange eyes later brown
$8 to $18  8 inchs

Santa & Mr's Claus 14 inch very large bulky Mohair on both?  not very rare made for along time
also dressed as old  man & woman $20 to $35 plus on sold as pair.

Wee Tykes were made in 86  in china no real worth.
Lots different costumes though. eyes looking up

Large 11 inch troll with big jointed arms  and jointed head, dressed as elves
or monks  looking up $10 to $30 very common, boys have fun fur, girls have mohair.

Clown Jester  Bank 1988 only made for two years very rare not a good seller
has stopper on the bottom $20 to $30 7 inches

Later reissued trolls were smaller less detail like, animal banks.
Because, Dam got lazy and not keep the original master sculpt or prototype for molding purposes.
 Results in bear bank with no hair detail , smaller trolls  about 2inches in some cases.

Made in china trolls like the merrymaker series very dark hard vinyl,  arms outstretched
on different body than little brother & sister trolls  marked 1986
very mass produced  1986 body $6.00 to $10.00.

The Dam Troll company closed in 2011 all trolls are made in china now.

Norfins were extremely popular in 80's and 90's
But got sloppy after Thomas Dam children sold to another company.
The quality shows most models don't have mohair anymore  .
 They use to have a scent, of baby powder some of mine still do.
