Through the years I have worn almost every basketball shoe
that was ever made since the mid-eighties. From the original Jordan I II
III IV V VI VII VIII IX X XI XII XII XIV XV XVII XX XXI and XX3. The
Jordan's in the 80's seemed to be built just a little bit better I would say
due to the quality and thickness of the materials used. In the 90's
I started wearing the Shox when playing competitive ball which maybe mentally
gave me a edge by letting me think by the way they were marketed that the boing
would have me leaping over cars and houses in a single bound. In the
2000's as I started to get older I started to look for shoes that were lighter
so that they wouldn't weigh me down after long intense games. So when the
Hyperdunk came out I was enthralled with how light this shoe looked and seemed
to be. So I purchased a few pairs to play in and found that they were one
of the lightest shoes I had ever worn. These shoes were light and
they looked futuristic which also made them very much appealing.
While breaking in my hyperdunks I noticed that NIKE then cam out with a shoe
that was lighter than the Hyperdunks. This shoe was named the KOBE
IV and was lighter that the hyperdunks by approx 5-8 ounces on each shoe I was
wearing( Sz 15). So now here it is 3 basketball seasons later and
my KOBE IV are handling the abuse and still looking almost new until this
day. This shoe worn with a extra light ankle brace for extra
stability is one of the best and most comfortable shoes I have ever worn and
will continue to until the next lightest shoe comes out. Maybe the Kobe
V. Thank you for your time.
