What is the new October 26 rule that came from nowhere, not even Ebay reps. had answers??!!! People are all confused with knowing little facts and a phone call to Ebay saying they do NOT know how to answer questions. I could see someone selling a pack of 4 aa "ever ready" batteries and listing that 50 times is not appropriate. What about a signed card or a sketch card or material card. No 2 signed cards are the same. If you have 8 signed cards of Lee Majors from the Six Million Dollar Man cards, some were signed in blue and black. Some are signed full signature and some signed more abbreviated. Some signatures were used with a lousy pen and the autographs are not attractive. Some are signed Lee majors on one line and some are signed with his first name over his last name. Some signatures actually goes over his face. It is the same card but the signature has totally different variations which changes EVERYTHING!!!!!!!! LET THE CUSTOMER DECIDE WHAT THEY LIKE NOT EBAY!!!! I see a scan of a beautiful blue signed card but get a black pen signature with skipping ink, I would be upset. Ebay is walking a fine line from improveing there site to destroying sales and ruin buying. I will not buy an autograph from seller's with "stock photos". I want to see what I am buying. Ebay may make people use stock photos!! I bought a J. L. Hewett signed card for over $100 and it was the same card but the seller used a stock photo. The card I got had a lousy, ink skipped signature!!! SAME card but TOTALLY DIFFERENT signature of much less quality. Seller said pretty much get lost but Ebay said " I could have a full refund". If I list 8 David Carradine signed cards, some autographs are nicer than others, some are nice because different pens were used, etc.. To show one signed card and have "8" available is WRONG. They see a thick blue signature but a buyer get's the SAME signed card but the signature is in fine felt tip pen, the customer would be upset. There goes my 100% perfect feedback and 12 years fantstic reputation on Ebay down the drain!! This could be said for graded coins, to paper money, etc..A factory sealed box of cards, a factory sealed set of kitchen knives, etc.. can be listed in one auction. Anything with ANY, EVEN A TINY VARIATION should not be listed in one group. Ebay has to make sure they only force IDENTICAL with ZERO differences or variations to be listed in a group auction. While on hold with Ebay, a message sais give a clear scan of the item because that is what customers want. Now they are doing the opposite??? Show one scan but list 5 items??? Baffleing. Show scans to customers of exactly what they are buying but October 26, this won't be allowed. Ebay representatives had no answers even after placeing me on hold. Also why do this at the Holiday season. Do this in the summer so seller's can prepare. As in many saying Ebay "walk a mile in the other person shoes". Why cause problems every Holiday season from the no insurance and other changes to another Holiday season switch to Paypal only, etc... Why do major, baffleing changes Ebay can't even help with at the busiest time of the year. Start this in January. Last week I listed 6 signed cards of a celebrity and all 6 sold within one day. The signatures were on different parts of the card and different pens. So I have to show each one seperately and one at a time?????????? Under the new rules, Every 20 minutes I sell something, I can than list another. It is an Ebay store. A store stocks it shelves because at the Holidays between the skyrocketing of sales, packing and shipping takes most of each day so I fill the store early with thousands and thousands of items and than by mid-December have sold 90% of items. This new procedure will destroy sales, disappoint buyers from seeing what they are buying and limit the amount of items for sale. This hurst me makeing money and will hurst Ebay's profits but Ebay next year will just raise prices to make up for this strange decision. I call is strange because the link to explain details said it will be available in a couple weeks on Ebay. New rules but Ebay can't say the rules effects and what they are??? We are in slow economic times, let people be. If I list a signed card and show one scan, no one is going to buy an autograph they can't see. This goes for coins, paper money, hummels, Barbie Dolls, etc.. You could have a Hallmark ornament in a box in a scan but than the seller sends you the same ornament with the box bent, would you be happy?? NO. Let us seller's show our customer's EXACTLY what they are buying. Ask any buyer on Ebay if they would like to see what they are buying or a stock photo. We all know the answer!!! Thank you!!
