MOSIN NAGANT 1" RUBBER BUTT PAD Installation Instructions - Remove the old metal butt plate by removing the 2 slotted butt plate screws, Place the new rubber butt pad against the stock and check the pad for a flush fit, Then bend the New butt pad with your hands to fit flush with the stock as needed, Once u have the pad shaped for the best fit, Place the pad against the stock to reinstall - be sure to install the bottom screw first for best alignment, then stand rifle up on the butt pad and push down on rifle for the best and straightest alignment of the top screw, then tighten both screws up snug - Remember these butt pads are sandable and easy to drill, so if you are real picky and want a real nice flush fit at the bottom of the pad, were the butt pad and rifle stock meet - you can sand the pad as needed - If you think the pad is to hard or if u would like a little differant look you can soften the pad up a little by drilling out the holes with a 3/8 inch drill bit, this is easy to do. Be sure to keep the drill bit strait so u dont mar up the tops of the holes
