MONEY ORDER SCAM~PAY with PAYPAL, NOT a MONEY ORDER

Some Ebay Sellers only accept Money Orders. (RED FLAG) This offers the Buyer very little protection even if you have the Money Order Receipt! Scenario: You win an auction and mail your Money Order to the Seller. After waiting a week, your item has not arrived. You email the seller, and the reply is: ‘I have NOT received your Money Order yet.’ You wait another week, email the seller again, and the reply is the same: ‘I have NOT received your Money Order.

In reality, your Money Order was cashed, and your RECEIPT can prove when it was cashed and the signature on the back. You email your Seller, and let them know it was cashed, and you have proof it was cashed and signed. His or her reply: ‘I never received your Money Order; it must have been stolen in the mail, and someone signed my name.

Most Ebay Seller are honest people, but there are a few who make a living scamming innocent people. PayPal offers ‘Buyer Protection’ which helps you if you do not receive the item and/or the item is significantly different from its description in the seller's listing.

If the Buyer does not offer PayPal and you still want their item, check their Feedback, Me Page, and all other available information before bidding.
