One of my favorite fabrics is the Minkee Fabric. It is completely washable and needs NO ironing. And, it is the softest material ever! It comes in so many colors now, and I stock most all of them. Mostly solids, but also some prints and some raised and puffy fabrics. It is so nice and soft for use on pillows, stuffed animals and even clothing. Everything just looks and feels so beautiful with the Minkee touch.
It compares to velvet, only it is so easy to take care of and always looks like new, even after several washings. I always use the gentle cycle and cool dryer just to protect the embroidery. That keeps it looking so fresh and new. The wonderful treat is that you never need to iron the minkee fabric.
If you haven't felt the minkee fabric, you must do so. It is a treat, and I bet if you are looking for something soft, you will not be able to resist. I like to use it on my handmade items including wearables, stuffed animals, pillows, quilts, and more. The result is a luxurious feel and look that I just love.
