When using this Guide, remember:

• Two-digit codes were introduced c.1953-54.
• The transition to three-digit codes occurred around 1964-1965.
• Many of these companies produced emblems prior to the 1950s and other hallmarks were used.
• Most of these manufacturers made metal items. Some made patches, ribbons, and other things that may bear a code on the item or packaging.
