The new Lenovo ThinkPad T430s is a must have for today's business productivity mobile solutions! it's a workhorse business laptop that's thin-light, durable, reliable, long battery life and offer office desktop power alternative.
The new T430s (ThinkPad's) aesthetic design commends respect. On my recent trip, I got many compliments for its sleek (all black) handsome design. At just 3.9 lbs., it's light for long distance travel. The soft-touch carbon-fiber reinforced top lid and smooth magnesium alloy bottom feel luxurious and resist fingerprints. Unlike with aluminum base material laptops, the T430s materials provides a sturdy grip when handling and will not slip off your hands so easily. When you're on a business trip, the last thing you need is a damaged laptop from drops.
The 14-inch HD+ 1600x900-pixel, matte display offer a sharp, bright images and wide viewing angles, prefect for watching HD movies. The HD 720p webcam with Face Tracking combine with Dual Array HD microphones provide high quality video images and clear sound, ideal for business web meeting (Skype, Go To Meeting, WebEx, etc..). There's also a built-in conferencing utility that control the webcam and allow the user to configure the dual-array microphone for single or multiple voices and keyboard noise suppression.
The spill-resistant island style, precision keyboard layout is very comfortable to use and provides the best typing experience compare to any laptop we've tested. There's also a useful overhead ThinkPad LED backlight for night use that doesn't glare at all. The brightness is just right and comfortable on the eyes.
Two pointing devices are offered; a TrackPoint pointing stick and a TouchPad. The TrackPoint is accurate to navigate and is a favorite for many ThinkPad users. TouchPad gestures functions works well with Windows 7 OS, but I personally feel it's better suited with (soon to be released) Windows 8 OS interface.
With the optional 3-cell bay battery (combine with the standard 6-cell), I was able to get over 9hrs of continued use for Microsoft Office, downloading, surfing the internet, youtube, movies trailer, etc. During this time, there was no heat build-up whatsoever, the unit stayed cool and quite the entire time.
The ThinkPad t430s comes preloaded with Lenovo's standard set of ThinkVantage utilities, including Airbag Protection that protect the hard drive if you drop the notebook, Password Manager and Enhanced Back-up and Recovery/Restore.

There are many alternative when choosing a business class portability machine. However, if you want a thin-and-light business laptop that provides optimal balance between mobility, heavy-duty productivity with excellent warranty support, the ThinkPad T430s is an excellent choice!
