Kubera Jambhala Lord of Yaksha

Kubera(Kuver/Kuber) is  also called  the lord of Yakshas. He is one of the four great kings who rules the first heaven of the desire realm in the north Himalaya. He is talso known as the lord of wealth. He rules over the city of the north of Sumeru mountain, supremly beautiful , adorned with precious jewels. It is said that his city is as beautiful as Sukhavati heaven, in the west Himalya. He has five princes and has 28 messengers under his command. They are his retinue.
Like the three other kings, he was also instructed by Buddha Shakyamuni to protect the Buddha dharma in Jambudvipa in the north direction.
his Kubera    Statue is  crafted by the experienced  artist Mr Shakya  of Patan, NEPAl, who hav been crafted the Statue since third generation. This Statue is crafted  under the lost wax method.The statue is  copper alloy with  24  Karat Gold full Gilded.

 

  

In Nepalese Buddhist traditon Kubera also known as Vaisravana is worshipped singly and is very popular. Newar Buddhist women take the image of Vaishravan out of rice flour during Yomari-punhi festival (December/January). It is also customary to keep images of Vaishravan (kubera) in the treasury room or inside the treasure box.

The worshipping of four guardian deities was introduced in China by Pandit Amogh Vajra during the eight century.
