Interpreting Feedback Scores

Feedback scores are based on positive and negative ratings over the time a seller has been selling on eBay...For example..a seller with 2000 positive feedbacks, say for a 7 year period, may have had 24 negative feedbacks...His Feedback Score would be 24 divided by 2000 or 99.9...However, if 19 of those feedbacks occurred within the past 6 or 12 months, that shows that the recent feedbacks have a negative trend...Watch the trend, and pay attention and read the negative feedbacks, particularly within the last 6 to 12 months. Check for the seller's responses too as some of the negative ratings may be unfair to the seller and the seller may have a valid explanation. Goal is to have smooth transactions and to ensure fairness to both buyer and seller.
