This guide will help you to properly install the Lenmar Battery PMPAIMINI for Apple iPod® Mini. You will need a very small flathead screwdriver and a Phillipshead screwdriver, damage may result if you attempt to use other tools than stated. Proper steps to ensure the safety of the user and device should be carefully observed before proceeding with the installation.

Step 1: Using the tip of a small flathead screwdriver, carefully pry the white plastic cover from the top and bottom of the iPod®. The covers will be attached to the case by a small amount of glue.
Step 2: Using a Phillipshead screwdriver, remove the two screws at the top of the iPod®.
Step 3: Remove this clip beneath the bottom case cover by placing the tip of a screwdriver in each of the four corners of the clip, prying each side loose. The metal clip should come free from the iPod®.
Step 4: Before sliding out the motherboard, we need to disconnect the connector at the bottom of the iPod®. Using the tip of the screwdriver, gently pop the connector out of its socket.
Step 5: Slide the motherboard out the top of the iPod® case by pushing it from the bottom. Once the motherboard slides free from the case, it will give us access to the battery.
Step 6: You will now be able remove the battery from its spot on the motherboard by gently lifting it. Remove the power connector from the socket.
Step 7: Take out the old power connector by gently lifting it free from the
power socket. Plug in the new battery and place the new battery back in its
position on the motherboard. Reassemble the iPod®, put back the two screws and
the top and bottom white case covers. The case covers should stick to their
original glue spots. Your new battery is now ready for charging for a minimum of
three hours before first use.
