INSIST ON SIGNATURE PROOF OF DELIVERY

I bought a pair of shoes, but I never got them. Seller used USPS delivery confirmation. That means the mail carrier just drops the package off on your doorstep. That's it. No signature required. Any bum passing by can grab your package. When you come home from work, you don't even know you've been robbed. Not until you go online and check the tracking number do you know that you've been screwed.

When I tried to get a refund, I got a major nastygram from the seller, so I disputed the whole thing to Paypal. They took the seller's side. They said the package had been delivered (TO MY ADDRESS) even though I never though I never personally received the shoes. I don't agree. If I don't get the package, it's not delivered. Delivering a package to my address is not delivering a package to me. I'm not my address; I'm me. So I was out my money and the shoes I paid for. Thanks, Paypal. I should have known you would have taken the seller's side. I won't use you again.

Things have changed. I see the light.

My advise, don't use Paypal if the seller ships via USPS delivery confirmation and you want to make sure that YOU get the package. I suggest you pay with a credit card but not through Paypal. With a credit card, you can do a charge back, but not with Paypal if I'm correct. According to what I understand, Paypal doesn't allow it. It's part of their terms of service agreement, I think. I'm not a lawyer.

The other route is to insist on Signature Proof of Delivery. Don't buy from the seller unless he promises to ship with signature confirmation.

Signature Proof of Delivery. In otherwords, you don't get the package until you sign for it.
