HTC EVO 3D VS Samsung Epic Touch 4G

The comparison of two smart phones from Sprint, the HTC EVO 3D and the Samsung Epic 4G Touch. They are both latest and pretty good phones so the competition is going to be a tough one.

Appearance and Weight
Both the phones seem identical and having unique designs, nice to touch them. As far as the size is concerned, the Epic Touch has slight advantage over the EVO 3D. The thickness of both the phones is same but Epic Touch is slightly shorter. The EVO 3D is quite heavier than Epic Touch. Its weight is six ounces while the Epic Touch is just 4.6 ounces.

Screen and Keyboard:
Epic Touch has the brightest and the largest screen that is 4.5 inch super AMOLED plus. On the other hand EVO 3D has 4.3-inch screen. EVO 3D has this advantage that it can display the wonderful images that you capture with Phone's 3D camera. However Samsung displays very sharp and clear colors. The virtual keyboard of the Epic Touch is larger and easier to use. Besides the small differences both the keyboards suit your data entry needs.

Features
Epic Touch has fast speed, processing power and fast downloads. Though both the phones have 1.2 MHz dual-core chip, however when tested with Quadrant Epic Touch proved better than EVO 3D. In network speed testing the Epic Touch once again wins. Epic Touch's result of 3G download were 351 to 706 kbps and uploads were 134 to 462 kbps. On the other hand the EVO 3D's result was lower than that of Epic Touch.

Voice Quality
Both the devices are not impressive regarding call quality. There are problems with both the devices but there is more distortion in case of EVO 3D. Epic Touch has better results in this cases with no major problem of distorted voices.

Software and Entertainment
It is difficult to say something regarding this point because the software of the device is more important than the device itself. The main difference in this connection is the extra 3D capability of HTC's entry. Its 3D games are really entertaining.

Battery Life
EVO 3D's battery has relatively long life. On the hand Epic Touch's battery has good life but not as long as that of EVO 3D.

Camera
Epic Touch has camera of 8 megapixel whereas EVO 3D has 5 megapixel camera. However, EVO 3D has a dual cameras and it can capture 3D photos and videos.

Price
Price is not an issue regarding these two devices because both the cell phones are selling for the same $200 with a service provider.
