How to save money on children's clothing on a budget

I have am fortunate to have an intelligent, kind and talented daughter who is healthy and happy and grows an average of 3 inches a year! At 10 years old, she is almost 5 feet tall, thin and never seems to wear the same item of clothing more than a few times!

While I have access to legitimate wholesalers, to buy brand new clothing, as part of my eBay business, not everyone else does. My advice is to buy gently used items. The majority of kids  regardless of how often they grow will not be able to wear the same item next season. Save yourself some cash and go used.

Some may turn their nose up to purchasing gently worn items, but as my mother said, Once you take the tags off and put it on, it is used

You can save a significant amount of money buying used. And most sellers will not put stained, junkie items for sale. It is not worth the negative feedback or damage to their reputation as a seller.
I personally have listed abercrombie items, worn only a few times at a 60 percent savings off Retail for great wholesale cost prices!  Many sellers do the same by selling gently worn items for very low costs in an attempt to declutter, have money for the next season, or as full time sellers, simply to pay the mortgage!

Ebay is probably your best bet for gently worn items. Look for keywords such as
EUC Excellent used condition
Like New
Gently Worn

Star a sort with Items ending Soonest,  you can find some GREAT items by catching it within a few minutes of auction end! Next is to sort by lowest

Don't be afraid of keywords! Use them! For specifics, say a certain style or color, you could search something along the lines of: Girls Abercrombie 14 (moose, logo, red, blue, lot, set, jeans, hoodie) making use of parenthesis to help narrow your search results!

and PLEASE check
Seller Feedback
Read ALL of the details in the description
Stay away from Personal Shopper auctions where you have no idea as to what you are getting. It may seem like a good deal until you get the items

Another great way to find items is to search huge lots followed by girl or boy and the size ie. Huge Lot Girls Size 10. This is a great way to get a head start on a nice wardrobe for the upcoming season. Granted, you may not like ALL of the items in a lot but many times, especially with Gently used items, you are going to find an auction containing clothing that has a similar style or theme that matches up with your interests.

Remember, even if you have truly checked auctions thoroughly, seller feedback etc, if you end up with a bad apple, contact your seller! He or she will most likely be more than happy to help you and work with you. However, know that as a buyer, you are responsible to check sizing prior to purchase and other details. If an item is blemished, a good seller will disclose this in the auction description. Mistakes DO happen! I have been on the receiving end as a buyer, but as I said, your seller will probably be more than happy to help.

I wish you all well and hopeful for HUGE savings to anyone who stumbles upon this!
