Rejuvinating Modern Synthetic Doll Hair - Contemporary Barbies, My Scene, Bratz Doll Hair and other Modern Rooted synthetic doll hair. ...*Sometimes Detangling is all that's necessary - "Less is More"
(*Not suggested for Vintage Doll Hair)
Supplies Needed; Vinyl Barbie/Bratz doll Brush, Comb, Pic Comb, Long Straight Pin, Liquid Laundry Soap, Creme Rinse, Boiled Water, "Used" Fabric softener sheet, Lots of Patience & Time.
Step 1 Detangling Hair - take your time and holding all the hair together in your fist, begin by gently brushing out tangles at the ends first. Continue detangling further up with brush and stop to separate any snagged areas individually with your fingernail or straight pin. Separate each one of the tangled hairs - never force the comb or force the brush through a tangle as it stretches out the hair! (Depending on condition of hair, this process can take hours)
Step 2 Shampoo - When completely Detangled, dunk hair in a bowl of warm water then gently massage a small amount of laundry soap through hair and rinse thoroughly.
Step 3 Rinse - Dilute small amount of Creme Rinse in a bowl of warm water and dunk the head of hair swooshing it around in the liquid. It should feel "slimy" from creme rinse. Rinse well with warm water. Gently comb through wet hair.
Step 4 Straightening - Boil up a small pot of water. Remove from stove and submerge just the WET hair in freshly boiled water for 11 Seconds Only! Immediately rinse under cold running water and comb straight. *Do not do this on Dry Hair!
Step 5 - Air Dry.
Step 6 Used Fabric Softener Sheet - When completely dry, if hair appears flyaway, lightly wipe through hair with a USED fabric softener sheet to remove "static cling".
Voila! ...please vote on my guide - thanks!
