How to Eliminate Wrinkles Forever! A blog....:)

Say it with me, "I will Never iron again!"

If you are like me, Ironing is the devil! I would rather see the dentist about a root canal anyday, before I would want to get busy with a clothes iron.  I really don't like to iron clothes. Seriously, my mother got up every day and made sure my dad had an ironed uniform shirt each morning of his 30-years with the airlines. I used to feel bad for her, even when I was a child, to have to get up, go to the cellar at 4AM, and iron a shirt...and eeee gaad!....a shirt you are not even wearing yourself?!  "Oh, not me", I said as a pre-teen.

Now that Mom has gone on to the great Mom's reward above and I have kids and a husband of my own, one thing hasn't changed, I still hate ironing! Now I'm as fashion conscience as anyone, but, I never wanted to have creases in my jeans. Lets face it, Jeans were made to be casual and it just feels strange to me to crease something that was originally created to wear to work on a farm, or in a factory. And it looks a bit obsessive to have creases in jeans. Nothing says "Psycho" to me quite like tell-tale creased denim.

Anyway, I pretty busy with a family of my own now, and have had a pretty busy career as well. In fact, I worked my way up the corporate ladder at a Fortune 100 financial services organization, and stayed there for 22 years! So I guess my stuffed shirts were ironed enough. In the beginning, I thought it was silly of me to want to pay for dry-cleaning all my suits and shirts for work, just because they were a little wrinkled. Yes, I was taught you could wear something 2-3 times before laundering it. and Yes, I'm talking about a time when we all wore HOSE to work and Suits with skirts). However, I needed to continue to look polished at work, albeit without the iron,  and there was NO WAY I was marching to the cellar at 4am like my mother did.

Then, along came the solution....a friend of mine introduced me to Downy Wrinkle Release. You know Downy, the same brand that makes wonderful fabric softeners? Well they were super tuned-in to us modern career women, when they created Wrinkle Release. All you do is put a shirt, for example, on a hanger when it's still warm from the dryer. Give it a spray with W.R. and smooth flat with your hands. It takes all of 2 minutes and I haven't lifted an iron in 10 years! The scent of Downy's Wrinkle Release is very fresh and light as well. Bonus, it freshenes AND un-wrinkles. I use it on everything from my husband's shirts, to the kids sports uniforms, to my kitchen place-mats and curtains. (Oh, if mom could see me now!) In a rushed moment, I have been even known to spray it on the shirt I'm already wearing to freshen up on the way to my next meeting. The bottle is small enough to put in your brief case. So do yourself a favor, stop the madness and toss the iron! It's liberating!

Wrinkles have ceased to be an issue in my life, well, at least the wrinkles in clothes.....Now, if you want to get rid of other TYPES of WRINKLES, well....just have a peek at my store, Mama-C's Bizarre Bazaar, where you will find the ultimate in anti-aging skincare by Rodan & Fields, (the same doctors, who brought us ProActiv (r) Solution). The stuff is so awesome....that soon I may be writing about How to accept all those compliments I will be receiving at my high school reunion!

All in all, that is my wrinkle-free story and I hope you have enjoyed it and that it helps you to save time enough to stop and smell the flowers and do something for YOU today! No need to iron, no need to do chemical peels, and still be WRINKLE-FREE everywhere! (do check-out my store...really!)

 Ciao for now :)

P.S. Please remember to Buy American..... keep our money in the States where it is needed now. Thanks so much.
