This a simple guide to help collectors and enthusiasts to buy Air Jordan sneakers on ebay. I'm a collector, seller and buyer of Air jordans and sometimes have trouble indentifying real Authentic Jordans from Fakes or Variants. This is a real problem, fakes are all around and you have to be really carefull buying. These are some tips that will help you to find real authentic Jordans on ebay and to find the differences between Variants and Authentics.

Look at the feedback of your seller, check deep into it, I mean look for negative transactions and read the reasons of those negative strikes. Sometimes the sellers have bad strikes from DEADBEAT BIDDERS, users that never complete the transactions, that doesn't mean that the seller is not legit, most of the times means that the buyer failed to pay and gave a negative strike to the seller. Now IF you see a negative strike that states that the seller indeed sold fakes or variants Air Jordans then be carefull buying from that seller.

ASK FOR MORE PICTURES!, Tagged with the name of the seller in a piece of paper if it is possible, most of the times the best way to find out if the sneakers are fake is to see more detailed pictures of the shoes and compare them with real Air Jordans pics. I use a website called jordanextreme.com, there you can find detailed pictures of Real Air Jordans and compare them with your seller pics. Fake-Variants Jordans are made of poor quality materials and you can easy find the difference between those and the real jordans. Check this example. Compare those two pics, the ones in the left are Real authentic Jordans and it is easy to see the defferences at the first look to the pics. Look at the details, like the Jordan logo (jumpman), sometimes that logo tells you if the shoe is legit, check the position,shape and color of the logo, sometimes you can tell if the shoe is fake by looking at those Jordan logos. Now this one is easy! The one in the right are FAKES, look at the colors, those colors were never released. -
Now, we can find Air Jordans ORIGINALS or RETRO, Originals are rare, hard to find and expensive, now at this day we can see a lot of RETRO Jordans that are more affordable (not always), Retro Jordans are true replicas of the ORIGINALS, you can find them in diferent colorways, but before you buy a pair make sure that the colorway is an authentic Jordan release. You can find Fake-Variant Air Jordans that have really wacky colorways or maybe colorways that you might think they are cool, just be sure that you compare the ones you want to buy from real Air Jordan pics.There are too many Air Jordan models, they run from Air Jordan I to Air Jordan XXI and many colorways of each model, so be careful you might see a pair that looks legit but it could a variant.

Do some research!!!!!!! Some of the Air Jordan Originals have never been made retro yet, for example the Air Jordan VIII (HI), black/red colorway, this model has not been produced in a Retro version (only lows), and there are some sellers offering this model stating that the shoe is a retro Air Jordan, be careful do some research, look on the web for air jordan history, jordanextreme website by example, this site will show you all the Air Jordans colorways released from Air jordan I to XXI (retros and authentics), use the site to help you find is the shoe is indeed a Retro or Original Air Jordan release.

USE COMMON SENSE!! Sometimes you can find sellers that offer full size runs of Air Jordans that were released in 2002 (like the Air Jordan IX black olive grenn colorway for example), well that will tell you that the seller is offering Fake-variant shoes period, it is impossible for a seller to have Jordans IX (black/olive green) from size 8 to size 13, and then state that they the shoes are Authentic Jordans, That is impossible!!!! Air Jordans that were already produced on a past date are not back in production anymore unless is set to realese again but that is almost impossible to happen.

Air Jordans are not cheap, If you see Jordans selling for prices waaay below retail they are probably Fake-Variants, check for other signs that could help you to find the Authenticity of the shoe.
These are only a few tips that will help you to find Real Authentic AIR Jordans on ebay, look carefully, ask all the questions that you need to ask, check pictures, read the feedback and the last and more important use common sense!, If you are not 100% sure of the authenticity of the shoes don't buy them!! Ebay is a great market for Air Jordans, you just need to be patient to find the right pair, do not rush to buy a shoe that you might think is legit and cheap, DO RESEARCH before buying that's the best way to stay away from Fake-variants shoes.
The best way to search for jordans is by your feet size, some times you can find good deals or steals with Jordans listed on a different cathegory than the usual Clothing, shoes & Accessories so I reccomend to go to the Buy section and type Jordan then the your size, for example my size, everytime I look for Jordans I do this: Jordan 12, that command will find most of the Jordans in my size, then is up to me to look for the pair that I want, You can always be more specific, type the whole Jordan model that you are looking for and check the search title and description box , for example Jordan XIII sz 12 altitude, this command will show you all the Jordans in sz 12 Altitude colorway.
Most coveted Jordans: Jordan XI Black/red, Jordan DMP, Jordan VI Olympics, Jordan VI Black/infrared, Jordan IV laser, Jordan XI white/concord, Jordan XI cool grey, and any Jordan Originals!
