How to avoid Ebay seller Email Scam

                                                                                Email Product Scam

When a new product is right about to launch or has been launched people go on ebay to view if anyone is selling such a product. Ive found that alot of the time instead of the actual product there would be listed an EMAIL address up for bid with people bidding all over with prices going up to 300$ for an email that is free to create yourself. I don't know whether these people think they are actually going to receive the item or they are aware that it is in fact just an email address.

The most recent case would be the Kindle Fire, All i could see is email after email listings under the actual products category;
Amazon Kindle email Scam  & Yet another Email Scam

Ive seen this done numerous times before to hot products like the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Apple Ipad, etc.. Ive come to the conclusion that scam artists tend to post listings under items that are extremely wanted, hard to get, and tend to be electronic products before/after they launch. If availability is little to none, then more people flock Ebay to snatch the product, this brings opportunity to scam artists to rip off unaware people.

I would recommend the following steps before bidding on any suspicious item that seems to good to be true;
1. Avoid bidding products before the actual launch date.
2. Read the description & title thoroughly.
3. Ask the seller in advance whether it is the legitimate item.
4. Check previous feedback and credibility of the seller.
