How do I know if I have Solid Rotors or Vented Rotors?

This guide is to assist our customers how to determine the correct parts to buy for their vehicle. If you do not check your vehicle to see what type of rotors it has on it, you will likely receive the incorrect parts. On some vehicle applications, one of the easiest methods to determine which brake package a person has on their vehicle is by checking the rear rotors on the vehicle to see if they are a solid or vented design. This information is important on vehicles such as the Dodge Charger, Dodge Magnum, Chrysler 300, Certain BMW models, Volkswagen/Audi's, etc. Solid rotors do not have any vanes in between the friction surfaces, while a vented rotor will have cooling vanes (just like the front rotors).  Explaining the difference in more depth can be tricky, so I figured a picture would be the best way to describe the difference.
