So you are looking to get a HID KIT for your vehicle but not sure where to start ? No problem, I can point you to the right direction.
Now a days there are two different types of Plug'N'Play HID KITS, there is 35w & 55w version bulbs & ballasts. The brighter one of course being the 55watts. Now also apart from that the bulbs come in different color te temperatures usually range from 3000K - 18000K. The higher the color temperature is the dimmer the light out will be and also the more colorful. For optimum light out you will want to choose between 4200K - 6000K color temperature bulbs. Most OEM cars such as BMW or AUDI comes with a 4200K bulb temperature, which is why they are so nice and bright.
The color of the bulbs change with the temperatures. 3000K is more on the yellow side , 4200K is more white , 6000K is usually a crystal white with a SLIGHT tint of blue ( Still shows bright white ). As the temperature range goes higher it gets more and more purple with a dull/dim light output.
Ready to buy? First you will need to know what bulbs you vehicle headlamps use, for example a Honda civic 2006 uses "9006 bulbs for low beam, and 9005 bulbs for high beam". So this car will need 2 seperate HID KITS if you need for HIGH beam and LOW beam. Usually it only makes sense to buy 1 KIT for LOW beam only unless of course you have a vehicle that uses 1 bulb for both HIGH/LOW beam, example the H4 bulbs.
Too many BRANDS! ? Let me just say you pay for what you get. There are a lot of china brand HID KITS out there that are simply NOT GOOD, they either die after couple months or the output is terrible. Lets be honest you do not want to be stranded in the middle of the night anywhere with your headlights suddenly dead, you could be out of town on a dark road or even in the city and get a ticket from the police for blown headlights. You might see some cheap ebay brand kits for $50 or less, but if you stop the think. It really cannot be good at all.

Theses kits may be pricier than your ebay china special kits, but you pay for what you get. You cannot go wrong with either of those kits, in fact some OEM vehicles come with factory PHILIPS bulbs and ballasts.
