Hermes 'Vif Argent' by Dimitri Rybaltchenko is another new 2007 design already being faked. 'Vif Argent' is the French for quicksilver or mercury. The mercury in the genuine version is absolutely three dimensional and looks like it is running all over the scarf. In the fake it just looks flat and poorly printed. (Incidently most of the fakes are this black-gold combination so far. The gold in the genuine black-gold version is equally liquid.)
Genuine scarf...3D mercury with deep shadow....................................................................................................
FAKE scarf....completely flat looking, and the attempt at shadow just makes it look out of focus......
You can see below that the genuine scarf should also have a white contrasting hem. The fake version above does not.

Small historical note:
Emile Hermes founder of the company was also known by the nickname of "Vif Argent" (Quicksilver) because of his love of travel and speed. So it is a nice double entendre that the design uses mecury to form his house logo.
