HD Antennae

A very big myth floating around right now in the world of high definition TV's is that you need a "HD Antennae". Totally not true. They're being advertised like that so consumers will think they can only use an antennae that says "HD Capable". Any UHF antennae will do just fine. You don't have to subscribe to HD programming just to get HD content. In fact, the best HD content going today (except for Blue-Ray and HD-DVD) is over the air HD. There's less compression of the signal than with cable or satellite. Also, if at all possible go with an outdoor antennae. Even without amplification, they draw in so much more over the air signals than an indoor antennae.
