When people stop at your auctions, do they recognize you from a previous auction? Pictures are easily remembered, so if you are a regular eBay seller, you might consider having a logo distinguishing your auctions. I have both an eBay store and off site store, both of which use the same graphics. I had a person visit my off site store leave a comment that they were pleasantly surprised to find my store as they remembered my graphics from eBay! So the saying a picture is worth a thousand words is true.
So how do you go about getting a logo for your auctions? Well, you have several options. If you’re familiar a graphic program, you can design your own logo. Use a photograph of your pet, home, toys - anything that will distinguish you from the next person and make you recognizable. Or if you have an idea (or even if you don‘t), but no clue on how to make a logo, there are many graphic artists out there who can assist you in coming up with something.
If you have an eBay store, you will want your logo to be 300dpi wide by 90dpi high so it fits in the top heading of your store. If you just run auctions, then size doesn’t really matter - but remember the larger the graphic, the longer it takes to load, so keep this in mind.
What makes a good logo - well, if you sell a niche of products, try and pick something related to what you sell. Take a look at this logo:
