German Riding Apparel And Tack Companies: USG

This is the third guide to introduce one of the many German riding apparel and tack companies that are not so well known in the US. It is meant to give you some information about their products and maybe help you decide if you want to buy them or not.

USG - United Sportproducts Germany GmbH

USG is a fairly new company.
Having been part of the world famous Kieffer saddle company, it split and was founded after a reorganization of the same.
USG offers a full line of English riding apparel and tack, although they are best known in Europe for their leather goods, like bridles, brow bands and girths.

The bridles are made from great quality leather and come in awesome designs, exactly what you would expect from a company like Kieffer.

In the last few years they started concentrating more on riding apparel and with the purchase of "Golden Dress", they offer in the meantime a much bigger line of breeches.
Some of them are available at SmartPak now, either under the name USG or as "Golden Select", the brand of USG distributor KL-Select.
Since KL-Select carries their own line of leather goods, USG bridles are hard to find in the US nowadays.
