This used CPU heatsink 300620910383 sold by surfers.pl aka Dariusz Dubis director of Microdream Ltd was advertised as completely operational. In fact without a securing baseplate which it would have been attached to when taken from a used computer or bought new it is useless.
The purchase cannot be said to be 'fully operational and functions as intended' when it has a small but integral part missing which it would have been sold with when new or connected to in a used pc.
The specific absence of a crucial and integral part such as the baseplate was not stated in the advert.
It is now necessary for me to make a second purchase of the baseplate in order to make the first purchase of any use at all.
The baseplate is flat piece of metal with four holes in it which secures a CPU heatsink to a computer mainboard, supplied with a heatsink when bought new. £4.95 for this used part is sheer over-charging. It would be very difficult for me to obtain a baseplate as an individual part from another source. There happened to be one other person selling this part on the whole of ebay for just £1.36 including postage. Microdream claim that there are lots of people selling CPU heatsinks without baseplates.
I think that the seller has used a very dubious sales tactic which has left me with a unit which I paid for and cannot use without then buying another component. This has had the effect of disguising the real price of the complete unit. Combined with the 'tough luck' attitude of the seller after taking the customer's money, this is definitely not an acceptable selling practice on Ebay in my view. The cost of a good CPU heatsink and baseplate brand new is about £10.00 The seller is charging new prices for used items in fact. This is a scam.
There is no compatibility issue as the seller states. This sale has cost me a lot of time and inconvenience. I have had to buy a new unit at short notice from another source.
The seller has had the negative feedback left him removed and has displayed a 'tough luck' attitude towards me his paying and repeat customer, accusing me of demanding a free item when I suggested that he send the baseplate and I cover the p&p. There is no compromise possible and I am quite shocked at how ruthless this seller is being over something so petty. After a volley of incredibly arrogant e mails in which the seller has failed to compromise, act at all fairly or in my interests, given that I did buy two items from him on the same day, or even see my point of view; saying that I need to improve my education they sent me this message today because I offered criticism of their attitude towards their customers. I have nearly ten years' experience in IT btw.
Seen your second feedback. People as you should be blocked from using eBay or any online Platfrom. Unbelievable such person you are ...
Decide if you really want to trade with this person, when things even go slightly wrong with your sale or you ask for a bit of compromise. Disgraceful and exploitative conduct in my view.
