This email is one of the worst in my opinion. Anybody on eBay who has ever been involved in a dispute dreads receiving an email letting them know that a new dispute has been opened against them. That’s why this email is so dangerous, the subject line reads “New Dispute Opened Against membername” and if you’ve ever been involved in a dispute the second you read that your heart starts racing. Any time you receive an email of this nature be sure to allow yourself to calm down before taking action. If you let emotions control you, you deserve to have your info stolen.
If you receive an email stating that a dispute is open follow these steps:
1. Close your email program
2. Open a new browser window
3. Sign into your eBay account through eBay.com
4. Check your messages
5. There will be an alert if the email was real
