You enter a description and up pops 100's of auctions for Bare Minerals makeup - and you sort for "lowest price" - and oooh WOW - you stumbled on a diamond mine!! I can get a .9 oz jar of Bare minerals for only $15?????? FREE SHIPPING TOO??? WOW - I'm buying TWO!!!
You get the product in, looks just like anything you paid full price at the boutique or the department store, right?? You put it on the next day, and something is 'just not right'. . . . it doesn't feel right, it doesn't look right and hmmmmm is that a pimple? Bare Minerals are hypo allergenic!! What the what???
Yep - you fell prey for a knockoff representing themselves as 'geniune' product sellers. And I did it not ONCE, but TWICE!!!! Why didn't I learn the first time????
Here's what to look for if you are unsure - and go with your gut - regardless of what the seller "promises" - they will be the one that comes back with ugly words about what a liar you are when you leave negative feedback!!
- The jar looks a identical to any of your previous 'real' purchases, but look at the sides of the sifter. Is there product between the sifter and the jar? If so, more than likely, the product was 'filled' into the jar by hand.
- The color is off. Put an older 'real' product jar up next to your new jar and compare colors (if you have an old one left). Most of the time, the color is going to be almost a whole shade off. I've experienced a darker product both times.
- If it's too good to be true - it probably is!
Good luck!!
