Ebay is flooded with fake AudioQuest HDMI cables coming mostly from China. Recently at lot of sellers in USA and Canda are also selling fake older model HDMI AudioQuest. Although the product is made and assembled in China, there are ways to tell if you purchased fake Audioquest HDMI cables.
Buyers should be extra careful when the buy it now price is between 20-25 dollars or shipped in so called "oem package" without the box. Some replicas are so good now days it even comes with the box, but if looked carefully by comparing it with a REAL Audioquest, you can tell the fake cable packing is very blurry.
Also keep in mind the side view of the box from China is missing the length sticker, incorrect font rendering, no translations at the back of the box, poor braiding, color and size difference on the box, and missing UPC code sticker on the bottom of the box.
