Ebay 's feedback system is a genius design, but it is also flawed.
1. New ebayer can leave whatever they like for a long term trusted seller. Just like when we went somewhere unfamiliar, it can be frustrating. The same is true for a new ebayer, they may never read through the description, don't know how to communicate through ebay and rarely check their account. They may destroy a seller's feedback with no reason at all, and the bad news for sellers is ebay does not allow seller block anyone with less than 5 positive feedback.
2. A competitor may use a new account to attack a seller's feedback, and when reported, ebay will ask for evidence. But how do an innocent seller provide evidence then?
My solution is: Limit the percentage of a new buyer's negative feedback for seller, 10% or less.
Allow seller block anyone with less than 10 positive feedback, if you need to join our community, then you should make yourself eligible.
Any comments is welcome, and let's help to make a better ebay community.
