In fact if it's not a commonly sold item on eBay, then odds are you will not know it's worth.
The great thing about eBay is that you don't need to be an expert.
eBay is a selling platform all it's own. A price guide may say it's worth one price. You may have purchased it for another price.
eBay had it's own price. It's a true supply & demand medium. Something it only worth what someone is willing to pay for it on eBay.
Hopefully there are 2 people wanting to own it & they bid auction style until the highest bidder gets it.
So, the collector or the buyer is the factor of how much is your item worth.
