September 29 of this year I was diagnosed with diabetes.  I was hospitalized overnight.  The staff at the hospital showed me how to test my blood sugar.  There are many different models and methods.  I asked for the easiest and quickest.  I was directed to the Freedom Freestyle Lite.  It comes with everything you need to monitor your glucose levels.  For someone that is scared of needles I never thought I would actually be poking myself but this easy to load and activate unit makes it pain free.   Regardless of which monitor you use, use it as directed.   I never knew the importance.  It has changed the way I eat, my energy level and my health.  I just felt the need to say something since this all so new to me.
