Have you ever noticed the values of them comic books you collected as a kid. Some of them have gone up in value to astronomical amounts. Comic books used to be in every store in the 60's and 70's but no longer. Now you will find an occasional comic book shop here and there but the hobby has been specialized to the point where not everyone is aware of them any longer. One thing that has been helping the industry is all the Superhero movies that have been produced over the past few years. It has created some new interest in the hobby.
Not every comic book is valuable as you may have noticed with the numerous listings on e-bay but there is still a huge demand with the rare issues. The actor Nicolas Cage recently sold his comic book collection for over a million dollars so there is still a market to those who enjoy it. Gone are the days however of finding that rare issue at a thrift sale but it still never hurts to look.
