Come see what is for sale in my store!!
Here are a few basic tips for those of you looking to buy on eBay!!
Look for the condition of the item the seller is offering. Take more than a moment to read the details that the seller has presented. Placing information in an auction referring to condition is not necessarily a required thing and what does get placed is subjective! It is not deceptive on the sellers part to place information regarding condition on units that are used or refurbished deep in an auction listing, and placing information on condition on brand new factory sealed units right up front. So read the entire auction looking for conditional information!!
Pay attention to shipping costs. eBay reports that many buyers are soured on the buying experience when they bid on an item and win only to find out that the shipping is higher than the cost of the item! These are only buyer who DID NOT read the shipping information BEFORE they bid! Always read the information on shipping before you bid! Some markets in eBay require sellers to sell way below cost and make up the difference on shipping. EBay is a great place to find things cheap, but be reasonable in how much savings you expect!! Shipping information is located at the begining and end of the auction page and some sellers even detail it out in the auction content!! READ IT BEFORE YOU BID!!
Check the feedback of the seller before you bid as well!! A low feedback does not mean a bad seller, but it might mean an inexperienced seller!! So check the rating before you bid and read the comments of a few customers on the sellers page. Page after page of positive feedback tells the buyer a lot about the seller! NOTE if one see lots of negative feedback thats a warning sign! Try to get a sense on what happened that caused the negatives to be left, were they all from one disgruntled buyer or from many!! Feedback is not a 100% indicator but a guide post!!
These are a few basic tips that can be applied to any sale on eBay!! I do hope they help!!
