Printing shipping labels is what every eBay seller needs to do. So why not do it as cheaply as possible?
It easy to print your own. The best time to print out labels is in the morning. This is because so many sellers are using the paypal services for printing labels and it can get clogged down. Often during peak volume times, you just cannot get your label printed and have to wait until another time.
If a buyer paid you through PayPal, you can print a Shipping Label through PayPal. Most of the time printing shipping labels directly from paypal should be no problem (if you pick the right time of day).
Lets say that someone paid you with a Money Order, Check, or a Cashiers Check. You can still print a Shipping Label. You can still use PayPal to print shipping labels even if your buyer does not pay you through PayPal. This process is called PayPal Multi-Order Shipping. You need to enter the person's address to whom the package is going to, the weight of the package, and what type of shipping service you want.
You can also use the USPS website to print shipping labels. To do that, you need to register and give them your banking information so you can pay for your labels online. By using the USPS site, you can only print labels that go Priority Mail or Express Mail. (It won't let you print labels that go Parcel Post or First Class)

Go to the UPS Website and click on the tab "Order Supplies" on the left side of the page. Please note you will have to create an account to access this page.
Once on the page, there will be several different types of labels to choose from.
Locate the label you are interested in and give the UPS a call and let them know the label you are interested in.
They will ship the labels to you for FREE and you should have them in a couple of days. It's that easy!
Don't waist your money on buying these labels on eBay when you could get them for FREE!

I have to say that adhesive backed label forms are much nicer and easier to apply on your package. You do not have to use these. You could use plain white paper 8 1/2 x 11.
Okay, you have printed out your label. Now what? If you are like me and have multiple sales, you don't want to be jumping up and down putting labels on boxes before going to the next one. I usually like to print out a bunch of labels at once. But you need to write on each one what it is for. I do this on the side of the page that won't be going on the parcel. Believe me, take the time to do this. It saves a lot of backtracking when you print out more than one label!
You now have your label printed and on your package. Just go to your local Post Office and give your packages to a Post Office employee. (You do not need to stand in any line!)

Always keep in mind that the post office discourages you putting tape across the label because the hand scanner that the postal carrier uses won't scan properly and the carrier then has to punch in the numbers of your delivery confirmation by hand.
